BEFORE- AND AFTER-SCHOOL CARE

 

Discovery Kids offers students time before and after the school day for leisure and recreational activities in a safe, fun environment. Some of these activities include socializing with friends, participating in games, creating art, and playing in the school's gym or at the playground. If they choose, children may complete their homework while at Discovery, so they can enjoy more quality time at home.

Since Discovery Schoolhouse is located at Reed-Custer Elementary School, bus service is not needed. Parents can rest assured knowing their child is safe and sound in the same building for both child care and school.

​

Discovery Schoolhouse operates Monday through Friday throughout the school year, aligning with Reed-Custer Elementary School's schedule. To synchronize with the Reed-Custer School District calendar, please arrange alternative child care for days when RCES students do not have school. Please note that Discovery is closed on all early dismissal days.​

• Our before-school program operates from 6:30 a.m. until the start of the school day.

​

• Our after-school program operates from school dismissal until 5:30 p.m.
